Unfair Play by SD and Craig Lord now available.

Summary: 'On the face of it, women’s sport is on the rise, garnering more attention and grassroots involvement than ever before. However, the truth is that in many respects progress is stalling, or even falling back.

Sharron Davies is no stranger to battling the routine sexism the sporting world. She missed out on Olympic Gold because of doping among East German athletes in the 1980s, and has never received justice. Now, biological males are being allowed to compete directly against women under the guise of trans ‘self-ID’, a development that could destroy the integrity of female sport. This callous indifference towards women in sport, argue Sharron and journalist Craig Lord, is merely the latest stage in a decades-long history of sexism on the part of sport’s higher-ups.

A strong fightback is required to root out the lingering misogyny that plagues sporting governance, media coverage and popular perceptions. This book provides the facts, science and arguments that will help women in sport get the justice they deserve.'

Waiting to pick up my copy. Sharron's been fantastic about all this and deserves the book to be a best seller.

I am ordering a copy next week from my local indie bookshop. Supporting both them and SD. Win win.

Great book: well researched, full of evidence. If you ever doubt that the world has not screwed over women - generally, not just in sport - go to page 5. Sharron quotes Nicholas D Kristof in his book "Half the Sky". He says that in the last 50 years, more girls were killed precisely because they were girls than men were killed in all the wars of the twentieth century.

I had to read that paragraph twice to fully absorb it.

And she's been telt on by the deeply unpleasant man behind 'Cabaret Against Hate'. I can imagine Judy had a good laugh at that.

Finally managed to get the book from my library (they had a waiting list). Just on first few chapters and it seems excellent - strongly written.

It's a fantastic book. I asked for it for my birthday. I don't know how anyone can argue with the facts presented in the book (but of course, they still do).

So much respect for Sharron.

Just spotted this has been shortlisted for the William Hill sports book of the year award (I check it every year to choose a stocking present for my dad!). Winner announced on Thursday
