Just spotted this tweet from Dr Joyce Harper.

I don't know what her view is on whether you can change sex or not so wonder, if she is TWAW, is this some sort of weird pay back and women are using male names on emails and refusing to turn their cameras on for zoom calls, or, is it men trying to get onto a menopause study, using their original emails and refusing to turn the camera on because they don't 'pass'.

For obvious reason it matters that the study cohort is female and I imagine it it feels more likely to be the latter scenario, but why not create a new email address?

Dr Harper felt the need to speak up, but then I guess she changed her mind?

I wonder if she deleted it because loads of replies concluded that the men attempting to join the study might be men with a trans identity attempting to Join for validation purposes. Unless she is openly GC she might have panicked that people would assume she was being “anti trans”. Being perceived as being GC could put her funding at risk I guess.

Her tweets were very confusing. She seemed to want to raise an issue without being willing to say what it actually is. Just resulted in a muddle.

Joyce is definitely not GC.
Her research always uses trans terms eg "assigned ... at birth".
She asked participants in her 2021 Menopause research to "please state your gender identity" with options of female, non-binary, other & prefer not to say - rather than asking sex. It was for menopause fgs! So that made it useless.
She goes into schools doing research on periods and uses gender identity terms instead of biological terms. She said participants at my DD's school had to be "assigned female at birth" and "identify as female" and that there would be a separate group research for "transmale" and "non-binary".

Joyce & her team recently wrote a teachers resource for reproductive health education eg fertility, menstruation, menopause for use in schools and asked if should she ERASE “FEMALE” in favour of “everyone who has a womb”. The resource had a fair amount of gender bollox in, she mentions a "transgender man" who gave birth! She confuses sex and gender throughout and it's a resource for teachers to use with school aged children.
It reads like a teenager has written it.
