Wow the bias in that reporting. 😡

Woman who organised the protest outside Primark received five death threats. The local Green councillor's response...

Cllr Chapman said: “Obviously sending death threats is wrong, and nobody should do it. I would say that if death threats are something that upset people, they should talk to any LGBT person- particularly if they’re a woman or a trans-woman who has any public platform- about death threats.

DARVO much?

IwantToRetire · 18/06/2023 18:50

I wonder if this is happening elsewhere and isn't being reported.

I mean in the sense that there are woman acting locally (bravely) to challenge the trans narrative.

“I fight not only for my daughter but for other children to be protected until they’re adults but also, as a women’s rights campaigner, I fight for women to be safe in their sports, in prisons, and away from biological males”

"If death threats are something that upset people "..? WTAF?

Also how does this Green moron know that the woman in question wasn't actually gay? Should she wear a pink triangle or something to prove she's "pure"?

“If death threats are something that upset people” 😶

Florissante · 18/06/2023 19:58

That was a poorly written article.

Is it really true that transwomen receive death threats? I’ve never seen any GC people use violent or threatening language online or be violent in real life (and the definition I’m using here is that using sex-based pronouns/saying humans can’t change sex is not actually violent, whereas ‘die in a grease fire’/‘kill her with my bare hands’ is). I have seen GI supporters both use violent language online and actual violence irl against gender critical women

Florissante · 19/06/2023 07:25

I've never seen any evidence of death threats, either. You'd think that Twitter would be overflowing with screeching about this, but nada.

Rightsraptor · 19/06/2023 07:36

Actually, @PonyPatter44 , the councillor concerned is listed as Lib Dem on the council's website, not Green. Same difference when it comes to protecting women though.

Bloody biased piece of writing.
