This man who killed two lesbians and their son in California is now in a women’s prison. So women now have to deal with him forever as he has a life sentence. This is absolutely disgusting. Thank you Kara Dansky for your work on this.

Not a surprise, given how insane California is, but my heart still lurched when I read that.

Inevitable, given Californian law. I hope they can at least enforce within-prison separation on safety grounds (although as seen in Limerick that's only a minor mitigation).

No surprise, but appalling that this has been allowed at all. Is there any legal recourse that these women can take?

This is in California where a bunch of anti-woman laws have been passed there are tonnes of evil men in women's prisons there. Women's groups are putting court cases together to fight back, but it isn't going to be easy.

Rivers' crimes is hopefully one more element which will help the fight back. Just need to keep getting the word out there. If we can end this stuff in the UK then it will be a huge help.

Incarcerated women must be amongst the most vulnerable, don't their human rights matter?

This is shocking, not surprising but shocking none the less.

Those poor women having to put up with this shit. The psychological impact on them must be immense all whilst this man gets his dream holiday location.

Reading about him before he transitioned, it seems his 'authentic self' is an utter monster.
