So, there was a meeting this evening at my church, with someone talking to us about how to create a more inclusive church.
One brave woman asked the speaker about where he stood on trans issues and out came the narrative 'the voices against trans rights are conservative and right-wing' and 'in the end, our duty is to protect the most vulnerable'.
Yes, this is still being churned out.
The trouble with all this is that it is the way that the Anglican church is going, and nobody is allowed to question the narrative.
Luckily I came home with a good friend, so I could vent.

If the Church of England go down the twaw route I think that’ll be the end of the CofE. It’s already hanging by a thread but I’m hoping that there are more quiet realists than gormless ‘be kind’ types.

Well, the reasoning is that people are leaving the church in droves because we're homophobic. Conveniently forgetting that more traditional churches, at either ends of the spectrum (evangelical and orthodox) are gaining members.

Homophobia is not why they’re leaving the church in droves. I think it’s because the traditional worship is dreary and uninspiring. Those evangelical and orthodox churches still have awe and wonder.

So what is a trans right for example ?

And what a trans right has to do with let's say a truly good theologically prepared Bible study?! - both live in totally different dimensions anyway.

Theology! That's so old hat. It's all about affirmation.
