Does anybody remember this resource? I think it was by Transgender Trend but I can't find it...

Evening all!

A close family member (13, previous severe mental health issues and autism) has come out as trans and unfortunately, her mum is entirely uncritical of her daughter's self-diagnosis.

She's already binding and is wearing weighted pants (!) Seriously concerned about the road ahead.

I'd like to send her mum some resources that will help her to be a good steer to her daughter. I remember a brochure that was produced a few years back that I think would help. It was aimed at schools I think but it had lots of speech bubbles from trans kids who had detransioned etc. Easy to read, fun format but packed with myth busting facts.

I can't seem to find this now, only a school pack that is weighty and not really suitable. Does anybody know what the above might be?

Any other resources that you think could help? I'm grateful for any help.

Also, I remember reading before that if a child has previous mental disorders, that they cannot transition - does anybody know anything about that?

Am I misremembering that? She's been in therapy for years and is extremely unstable. I'm concerned that her mum is going to let her go through the hormonal and surgical processes so I'd love to be able to wave a stop sign if possible.

You may be thinking of the original Dutch protocol, which didn't proceed with medical treatment until any other mental health issues had been dealt with.
