He's not @'d her but he's tweeted her comment piece in the Telegraph from last week:

Underneath, he's added an archived link and a comment, saying: "It is worth noting that kids who are same-sex attracted and/or autistic are the most vulnerable".

As he's has a lot of followers (140M or so), this means a lot more chance of the issues reaching a lot more people.

Previously this kind of thing would have risked being taken down on Twitter, so it's maybe a sign that #nodebate is gone/going.

It's quite surreal to me that the world's richest man is tweeting an article by a lefty female British journalist. The tweet is currently on 8.4 million views (don't know how many of them will have clicked on the article).

I guess when Elon colonises Mars it's safe to say there won't be any gender clinics there!

Love him or hate him I'm just glad he's not allowing only one side of the debate to be broadcast.

He's asperger's and so doesn't adhere to the same sorts of social codes, that's all. He says what he thinks.

I agree he's a narcissistic weirdo, but he's not stupid and he's definitely on the right side of the argument. The main thing is he has tremendous reach and with Elon on the side of GC, it can only be a win. We know from experience that what this issue needs is sunlight and debate and that's why TRAs have tried so hard (and largely succeeded until recently), in keeping the issue in the dark and viciously attacked anyone who attempts to question it publicly. So personally, I'm delighted that Elon is on our side.

I'm oftren surprised at how little so many people still understand about Aspergers and autism more generally.

Okay, I was just quoting what another poster said. I know he has asperger's (although I thought this was just called autism these days?), but some of the things he's said and done over the years are narcissistic and frankly weird and I get the feeling that he enjoys shocking people and doing radical things. Some of those things are strangely brilliant and bold. I can't say I like him though and that stunt with sending his car into space made me feel rage at the huge waste of resources. That was narcissistic behaviour.

This is an ace move by EM. He isn't a 'wierdo' he is autistic, as are members of his family. He is extremely bright and capable.

I'm glad he's used his unique position to publicise the Tavistock/Mermaids/ debacle. Susie Green, a woman with zero medical skills who affirmed her own son's gender 'identity' when he was still a young child. Also at 16 took him to unregulated Thailand to be castrated. She openly commented that the boys Dad had signalled he should not play with 'girl' toys etc etc.

Mermaids supported by Stonewall became activist led lobby groups with every organisation having diversity (Male/Transwomen) champions. A similar story to 'I am Jazz' and his Munchausens mother transing him at 3 and recording every detail of the boys life in his obviously homophobic sex stereotype home. Very sad. It's internalised homophobia and right wing intolerance we need to tackle.

There are far weirder people involved in this than Musk.

What he is, is one of the most well known people on the planet, with huge reach and influence. And he's an enormously wealthy man so he can't be cancelled or told to shut up.
