Their definition of gender affirming care is 'counselling and hormone treatment' but that is absurd, one is talking, the other is a life changing decision.

Quite. I wish The Guardian could be honest on this issue.

Counselling isn't counselling if it means validating a declared identity.

That's such a mismatched combo "counselling and hormone treatment".
Could it be possible to support one but not the other? Makes it difficult to answer the question if they come as an all-or-nothing.
