Yes, it’s Matt Walsh and I wish there were other venues willing to host these topics but there aren’t, so moving on, Lia Thomas teammate has spoken out. She talks about how first they were told Lia would not be sharing the locker room, then she saw the assigned lockers and without any more discussion Lia was in the room with them. One of her teammates was extremely upset, went to the athletic department and returned suddenly all enthusiastic. As she says, what’s chilling is that no discussion was allowed at all and the universities completely threatened and silenced the women. She also said she got the courage to speak out because of Riley.

It's not Penn University it's the University of Pennsylvania.

Penn U and University of Pennsylvania are the same institution.

Penn State is the other one.

Just watched, good interview and she's brave. I liked her point about having noted that a lot of the people in the fight are in the "older generation" and young voices are needed too. I hope other young people become inspired to speak out :)

Sometimes I can’t believe we’re in 2023. This would never have happened 30 or 40 years ago. Perhaps in 1923.

  • I never thought it would happen to me.

Classic 'Be Kind' innocence.

  • I dealt with it (a male in the changing room) by making myself invisible.

Classic feminine socialisation.

Yes, kudos to Paula for speaking out about this so eloquently.
