DD4: Jigsaw PSHEE curriculum implementation - concerns

My DD4 is at a small independent school. They have just announced that they will be following the Jigsaw 3 - 11 PSHEE curriculum for teaching about PSHEE, including sex and relationships. The policy we have been sent is a bit woolly, but it struck me that when mentioning their teaching about the protected characteristics in the equalities act 'sex' is not included. This raised red flags with me. Please can people comment if they have experience of this provider in schools and what I should ask to flesh this situation out? I don't want to be That Parent, but I want my daughter taught about reality and not feelz.

I started a thread about my complaint about Jigsaw, which successfully got some lessons removed. You should find it with a search.

Please challenge the school for using any organisation that misrepresents the law OP.

Be prepared to be that parent OP, ask to see the materials and insist that the school exerts due diligence.

Thanks all - lots of reading to do. The exclusion of sex as a protected characteristic is concerning and reading this the fixation on secrecy is worrying. Since when did schools focus on ideology rather than fact?!
