Unusual to see the BBC reporting this (mostly) accurately, and not referring to this abhorrent man as a woman or female, even though he's apparently "in the process of transitioning to female". Perhaps a change of policy?

I think he's referred to as Andrew Miller and a man, as that is the name he was tried under.
Who decided he be tried as Miller not Any George is they key - was that his own decision or someone in the legal system?

These men have to be stopped. I never hear of female to male trans folk doing things like this.

Grabby** the good news is that the man who abused a child has been taken to court and pleaded guilty to the charges. He is now a convicted sex offender, a fact that will never go away.

There's an abused child at the centre of this, and it's right and proper that she should be supported. And if that is that she isn't made to lie about pronouns, that is good.

Did she? Or was she able to recognise him as male but trans, so felt she had to be polite? He appears to have been openly cross-dressing around the area and to have been using a different name, Amy George, in some contexts. #bekind, after all, #acceptancewithout exception, etc etc, and this is where it can lead. Poor kid. I hope she and her family are getting good support.

It does leave the question of what is the difference between a man dressed as a woman and a transwoman hanging in the air.

She may have been taught (possibly in school) that people can change sex and that a man who says he is transitioning to be a transwoman is actually in the process of changing sex. She may also have been taught that men who say they are women are women (TWAW) and therefore such a man is as safe to be with as an actual woman.

This shows the danger of teaching children that people are who they say they are and TWAW.

All I know is what it says in the article - she said she was approached by a “lady in a car” and went with “her” because she believed the “lady” to be non threatening.
