I’m going! There’ll be plenty of women there, word is getting around. Please come along. If you’re on your own just talk to any of the other women. Everyone is welcoming and friendly.

Is there usually much opposition/counter?
I'd like to come to one of these but a bit nervous about it possibly kicking off as I don't know the area super well!

I'm definitely going.
I've asked a few friends who aren't out as GC, so waiting to hear back from them.
I'll be fine on my own though if they don't want to come.
I chatted to loads of women around me at LWS Glasgow earlier this year, and am going to the London one alone at the end of the month.

I'd be happy to meet up with you if you're nervous?
There's likely to be a police presence to keep everyone safe.

I'm going to the poetry event too, the daft TRAs brought that to my attention so I bought a ticket.

Just came across:

If you are worried just stay at the back, and leave if you aren't comfortable with a planned exit as to where you're going eg straight to the Underground station/back to your car.
Everyone will be so friendly and make you feel welcome.
