Just saw this on LinkedIn, not sure how this helps encourage women into tech knowing that men can just identify as female and be eligible too.

Pffft. As if there's not enough of these men pretending to be women in tech already!

That would make an interesting study, to see what percentage of female representation of IT professionals on the top levels are actually female. This is one of the industries where replacing sex with 'gender' in statistics is likely to make a clear difference, and firms can show apparent improvement in their diversity without changing the type of bodies in the boardrooms.

Does it say that ‘any’ women can apply? Is it just black students (a lot of DSs friends in this field are from the far east/Asia).

In all my working years, I don’t think I’ve ever worked with a very senior woman in IT (my friend is and she is a genius).

It says to be eligible to apply you must identify as female and/or are of Black ethnicity.

Seems the bonkers rules are that you can be male and apply because you "identify as" female, but you can't "identify as" a specified race, you must be from that race. Do they not hear themselves?

That was my thought, too.

Yes an ex friend of my DH who became a transzilla(very abusive to his/her DW and children ) is now a member of some "Lesbian Coders" network. Not a fecking lesbian amongst them. They get each other jobs and opportunities and generally plot to keep anyone who doesn't agree with them 100% on gender ideology out of these professions.

Such a great opportunity and it will probably go to a TW. Thank heavens it isn't considered socially acceptable to identify as black otherwise that spot would also be snatched from a deserving candidate to go to someone for the feelz.

What if I'm not female but I identify as Black?

yeah, what a sack of shit. there are millions of ostensibly 'white' women out there who have very substantial sub saharan african ancestry, e.g. double digit in percentage terms if they took a DNA test, and yet every one of these TW's have without exception in their lifetimes produced countless billions of sperm cells and a flat zero egg cells, i.e. they're as incontrovertibly not-female at it's possible to be.
