Long time lurker/ Spartacus here, but as I have just caught up on my trans inclusion training from Global Butterflies, I thought I'd share this overview of the issues trans people experience in this "toxic and unsafe" world at "peak anti trans".

-Self ID rolled back because media said men would dress up as women and attack women in the toilets which is a "really ridiculous thing".
-"Wizard tweets "(sic) complete with picture of JKR.
-5 year waiting list for gender clinic
-conversion therapy not banned
-increase in trans hate crime +56% (2022) total of 4355 crimes. Race crimes in the same graph was 109843 + 19%.
-Exclusion from sport which is "not about fairness but about exclusion of trans".
-Keira Bell Vs Tavistock
-Coordinated Social Media attacks
-Gender Critical Belief - this is now protected in law which makes it "very difficult in the work place for trans."
-Attempts to exclude T from the LGBT which is a strategy to "topple the T which will then topple the LGB which will then topple women's right. "
-Voting ID has changed so difficult for trans people to vote.
-Media attacks- false stories and false narratives, example given is the "lesbian pressured to have sex with trans women" story from the BBC.
-EHRC. "we have had some problems there".
-UK slips from 1 to 21 on the ILGA rainbow map
-PACE condemns UK and compares to Russia for LGB rights.

Lots more to unpack in what I just listened to, not even sure where to begin with some of it. According to this training 60% of trans women have genital surgery, no source cited.

Wow @DenmarkStreet you are really good at taking notes!
So much misinformation, I wonder how much of it the authors really believe?
Plus an🍸🍹to go with the gifts from @JacquelinePot , you deserve it!

I do think Global Butterflies should be asked to justify this shit their training material, and if it is found to be largely unfounded and misleading, should be returning their fee to your organisation DenmarkStreet

Why did you have to undergo this re-education? Did everyone else just accept it? Do you have an ally to help you raise concerns about it all?

MrsOvertonsWindow · 28/04/2023 08:40

OMG - and this group go into schools and gaslight children with this shit.
Was it online or were you sat in a room to be verbally assaulted with this emotive nonsense?

Pure propaganda.

Shows how weak their arguments are when they have to resort to lies.

I'm still thinking about whether I dare raise some questions around this, especially the JKR, Keira Bell, Gender Critical belief, and EHRC points. It was well below the normal standard of inclusivity training that is normally provided. I especially concerned seeing my legally protected gender critical beliefs described under the headline "What we face on a daily basis" and being described as something that makes it very difficult in the workplace.

The presenter Rachel mentioned several times that it was difficult to go out, to a restaurant or for a walk and that Rachel had to be persuaded to basically leave the house. Rachel came across as quite vulnerable and the entire narrative made it clear that critical questions would be unwelcome. I almost felt like it might cause some kind of meltdown.

Yes, Rachel presented in a way that it was impossible to question.

Some of the content has changed in the last year, but it’s clearly the same one-sided propaganda.
