The cognitive dissonance must be burning up her brain cells. Not sure how much more she could be doing to enable the misogyny she is supposedly protesting against.

Trying to ride two horses. I think she's trying to say that there are good MRAs (the ones with the girl dick boy pussy banners) and bad MRAs; the Completely different group who obstructed the entrance.

To get ahead in public life these women are under enormous pressure to do as men require them. They have seen older, GC women like Ann Henderson get cancelled. Doesn't excuse the cowardice.

The case she explores and the incidents she refers to involve cis men. These men and the structures at universities that protect them are the biggest risk to female students. This is what we should be campaigning about.

It was a depressing, shocking thread. That poor student.

Tbf to the Women’s officer, she did say she was opposed to the blockading of the film. Which is… something. Maybe.

(although presumably she was opposed to the film being shown in the first place?)

I did cringe for those protesters, it was very “down with this sort of thing”. Do they fuck know what they’re arguing against. I’m a recent Edinburgh graduate and I know at least one of them in the pictures. 😬

There's no such thing as a "cisman".

“Cis” is just offensive bollocks though.

Do you have evidence that men with gender incongruence are less of a threat to women (in fact, present the same risk to women as other women do) than men you call cis?

Do you evidence that men (whether trans or what you call cis) will not exploit the massive safe guarding loopholes created by allowing men to identify as women?

Because if you don't have firm evidence for both these points, your argument about 'cis' men being what we need to focus on makes absolutely no sense.

Its men we need to be focusing on, regardless of any other identify or characteristic they may have.

AthenaWhite · 27/04/2023 17:47

All men offend at the same rate. I do not understand why people fail to grasp this simple, evidence based fact. Regardless of the words men use to describe themselves, despite the clothing choices they make. They all offend at the same rate.

Aye. Only 'cis' men harrass or attack women. No trans identifying man ever did that. Completely different sort of men, the ones what wear dresses.

Edinburgh uni teaches human medicine and vetinary medicine, wouldn't you think, that between those 2 schools, they could get someone along to explain biology to the tra's?!
I sincerely hope that none of those tra's belong to either of those 2 schools, or god help us all!

The girl in the picture with the sign, looks very pleased with her little self but where will she and those like her be a few years down the line without that big crowd round them? Where will her/their friend base come from. They don't seem to be curating anything like we'd describe as a personality, so how are they going to attract anyone into their circle for friendship? I see a very lonely life ahead for them, oh dear, how sad, what a shame, but never mind, that's their problem.

As for the womans officer, just you what now?!
Went to protest against the film she was then going in to watch? I just shake my head at that, i can't remember the last time i heard something so damned ridiculous! ( not since yesterday
anyway! )
At this stage, i'm not even sure the students at Edinburgh can even do joined up writing, let alone joined up thinking!
