Tonight just before 8. Nothing to see here, starring Aida Dee . No discussion of other opportunities to have people from other communities reading to show diversity.

I just watched it. They did interview a person who was against DQST, who talked about it being adult entertainment and the acts with thongs and twerking, but this wasn't followed up in the piece, and they didn't show any clips of it. They just showed a 'suitable-for-TV' performer.
They also made a strange fuss about who was filming who, i.e. other people filming the C4 presenter and crew, as if that was a bad thing.

It did seem a bit unbalanced to me. A missed oportunity.

I'vve just watched this and thought do they think we are dumb that they can manipulate the discussion.

Showing as an example one show where the person concerend is more pantomime than drag, just shows they either didn't investigate or deliberately didn't show the events where there is crude and explicit sexual dress and behaviour.

Thought the woman from Wales was spot on, but cant remember her name.

Sorry.

Totally missed opportunity.

I am not 100% sure but was it this drag queen also using the same name for her adult acts? I remember Sarah Field from Leeds taking up this or similar reading in Leeds. And the fact that tech savvy kids might search online and get a surprise was mentioned.

Was there also some comments about a drag queen that died last year while serving a sexual assault on a minor?

And the stories of those kid dragging in USA for money was also left out.

Pretty coffee table journalism with little substance and less critical input.

The hypocracy of the reported saying about the woman who is campaigning against drag for children, that she was basing her opinions on one show she had seen on line.

And then C4 "news" did a whole report based on one show by one person!

They could so easily have reported there are different types of shows.

I despair of any tv channel having an actual news section.

Its not just about impartiality, but having facts.

I've completely given upon Channel 4. Totally biased and a shadow of its former self.
