They are based in Florida, DeSantis/Trump territory. States have lots of ways to support local businesses. I assume that the calculation is that they will gain more in support and custom than they lose.
In answer to the questions about adverts, it's not that common for a company explicitly to nail its colours to the mast like this, as obviously you risk alienating half your customer base. However, it is much, much commoner in the US for people not directly involved in politics, including business owners to have known political allegiances.
