The BBC reports protests by (lesbian and bisexual) women in Iran about gay rights and criminal persecution: "During the protest movement, young LGBTQ people have defied the regime's bans on public shows of affection and same-sex intimacy by removing their hijab and kissing each other in public."

Despite the fact that the report was overwhelmingly about same-sex persecution, the BBC had to throw in towards the end: "a trans non-binary activist in Iran in their early 20s, who say they are defying pressure from the 'guardians of cis-heteronormativity', describe the increased visibility of the LGBTQ community as the "rainbow wave".

But according to the TRAliban Iran is a beacon if LGBTQ rights. I saw a TRA arguing the UK should be more like Iran as they provide government funded SrS. So transing the gay away then. More further proof of the homophobic nature of the gender ideologists.

Does make you wonder if the bbc is telling the news as it happens in Iran or if it is telling the news that an editor interpretes is happening in Iran with just a pinch of journalistic freedom required.

I've seen "trans non-binary" a few times recently. Forgive my naïvety, but how can you be both? How can you simultaneously feel like the opposite sex yet feel like neither?

>How can you simultaneously feel like the opposite sex yet feel like neither?

It's not easy. Achieving maximum oppression score takes work.

PatatiPatatras · 19/04/2023 08:34

It comes from the "gender is a spectrum" argument. The non binaries are proof of the spectrum (despite it being a self declared status) .

According to the Human Rights Activists' News Agency (HRANA), security forces have killed at least 530 protesters - including 71 children - since the protests began.

God, it's so heartbreaking.

Brave brave women

Having read the BBC article and spotted a dreaded ‘sex assigned at birth’ I have submitted a complaint. I really thought the BBC had been led away from this kind of ridiculous pseudo science
