I'm sure it was JB who wrote a really moving story about a teenager who had scoliosis and navigating being a teen with a difference and confidence issues. It was an incredibly powerful piece

I have said this on many threads but her adult books are worth a read too. Maybe not Great Literature and possibly there's some nostalga enhancing it for me, but I really enjoyed the ones I've read and so did my friend who was also a teenage fan.
The film looks fun, looking forward to that.

This reminded me that Hadley Freeman wrote a letter to Judy Blume as a child, and although Judy couldn’t reply to all her fan mail at the time, she did reply to Hadley. Years later, Hadley interviewed Judy.

I love that she’s so unequivocal - no pussyfooting around. And she came out and said it without even being asked. She must have made a conscious decision to make a clear statement of support. It’s so heartening when you see women displaying that kind of courage.

I think someone who has written so well about girls going through the teenage years must be able to see the damage that gender ideology can cause.
So pleased that she’s come out in support, I had all of her books, Tiger Eye was my favourite!
