Warner Brothers Discovery are close to cutting a deal with JKR for a HP TV series a new adaption of the original books with a season per book. JKR will be involved to ensure accuracy to the books, but will not be showrunner. She is going to make A LOT of money from this.

More details.

The Anti Women's Rights side of the internet are losing their minds. However I am thinking that it is pretty clear that they don't matter as much as they think. The failure to cancel Hogwarts Legacy in fact it becoming one of the most successful games ever making over a billion dollars so far has shown their discourse is limited in the real world.

They threw everything they had at Hogwarts Legacy and utterly failed.

Why does this matter? Because it show the only reason Genderism is doing well is because of control of certain sections of the political and cultural sphere and in reality most people, even those in the cultural world, do not go along with its core tenets. JKR will use some of that money to support the battle against sexism. More proof that our side is gathering strength.

So time to push forward because this stuff is insidious, the quicker we move the more lives we can save.

More to the point JKR will hopefully insist that the core of the show remains British. That is going to bring the UK 100s of millions in acting, media and tourism AGAIN. So again we get to ask who in the UK stands with her or against her?

I can't wait, but depending on how soon this would come out I best start reading the books with my niece. We had agreed to wait until she was eight, but I'm sure starting 18 months early won't hurt her ;)

I hope it's titled as "JK Rowling's Harry Potter and ..." so her name is front and centre.

If it's produced well, there's none of the "sensitivity" lens, they don't make any main character non-binary and it's mostly British led could be very watchable.

Would so love to see this! Have been waiting for them to do a proper job of the books, tv series definitely the best medium to convey the complex storylines and character development.

Ooh brilliant! Fantastic news for the fans of the books - the films miss so much, it's all too much crash bang wallop. And I hope she makes a shit-ton of money. Hooray for JK Rowling.
