No nudity in changing rooms or no penises in the ladies?

I've just seen this news article:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-65133860

It's about a woman who was told off for being naked in the ladies changing rooms. I think she was an actual woman. Does anyone else think that policies like this are needed only because some TW feel entitled to not only be in the women's but to flash their male tackle at the women and children who just want to change in peace?

We all have a body and this amount of horror at the thought of seeing one is, in my opinion, ridiculous

Your opinion on this leaves no room for people who are just generally shy though. My own mother and sister are comfortable with nudity having grown up in a house where nudity was just a normal part of life/all bodies the same/beautiful etc.

Doesn't change the fact that I'd rather sVe my naked body for myself and my husband. I change in front of my small dc and make no adjustments to cover myself up, as I appreciate its sensible to normalise nakedness but I am not ridiculous for not wanting to get changed in a open facility for women to undress and redress around one another.

We all have a body and this amount of horror at the thought of seeing one is, in my opinion, ridiculous. I grew up in a household where seeing my family (including my dad) naked was no big deal. When I had my own children we were members of a naturist club and would spend weekends in summer there. They grew up seeing the naked body in all its shapes and forms, all ages and by no means all "beautiful". Consequently, they have grown up with no "body hang ups" and are confident in their own appearance. They have not grown up in a situation where the only naked bodies they saw were in air brushed or porn photos, which would make then lack confidence in their own normal bodies!

You are welcome to get your kit off when, where and with whomever you like at any time. Enjoy yourself.

Leave everyone else to make their own decisions and respect that they get to set their own boundaries, and we'll all be fine. Inclusion is all that's being asked for, and that requires some space retained for female only. This should not be predicated on male permission or agreement, or whether males drum their heels and sob, or threaten to hurt people.

I have no problem with fully open changing rooms, but accept that most people have.

So I guess we need no men in the ladies. Then people can make informed decisions about how much nudity they are comfortable with themselves.

Just to say that here in Aus, I have yet to go into a changeroom at the beach or anywhere else that has cubicles. We have showers which may or may not have a curtain to keep your stuff dry, toilets and an open space with a few hooks. As The article is talking about a surf lifesaving club, there will likely be lockers somewhere but not necessarily in the changeroom.

I just posted something similar on the other thread about this.

In fact, most of my beach experience is standing in my togs and thongs under an open air shower and then ducking off to a concrete brick single sex changing 'shed' with a wooden slat bench seat for you to get dressed if you want to leave the beach in clothes rather than your togs.

If there is a shower in the communal changing 'shed', it is not in a closable cubicle and as you say, rarely with a curtain.

A pool may be different as it might have a curtain but anywhere that involves swimming will have toilets with sopping wet floors and the changing room will be wet too. Maybe if you are lucky the changing area will have black rubber holey matting.

Changing 'under a towel' is a ridiculous suggestion for an adult to do. Absolutely ridiculous.

@Helleofabore and of course, https://eu.dryrobe.com/ isn’t a thing here either. I do see blokes changing their jocks under a towel in the carpark but that’s as far as it goes.

I think if a changing room wants to enforce a no nudity policy then it should provide adequate cubicles for women to use to change in. Saying they should change under towels in a communal space is fucking ridiculous.

And I'd always advocate for a no men in the female changing rooms, whether they like to think they are a woman or not. And regardless of cubicles/nudity policies.

I could not agree more
