I know he can divide opinion but the last 5 minutes of this on being ‘queer’ was refreshing.

He's very good at what he does. I really hope that conversation he describes at the theatre didn't actually happen.

I heard it. Expressing the frustration that many of us feel about having your own identity upended so someone else can more fully realise their own inner sense of self. Solidarity David.

I haven't had the chance to listen to this yet, but I love him and think he talks loads of sense on this sort of subject.

Loved the descriptions of the 12 year old 'coming out' as Queer because she's assexual, and the teenager breaking the shocking news that when she is older she will only have sex with men she is in love with. I don't think his claim that a woman was calling herself Q because she's very tall is far from the truth either. I know of young people whose only reason for adopting the label seems to be that they are overweight, unconventional looking or neurodiverse.

I really like David Sedaris. So very funny and perceptive in his observations.
He has a bin lorry named after him as he collected so much rubbish in his local area. His sister is the wonderful Amy sedaris, peli in the madalorian.

Yes, heard this when I was cooking - his take on the woman's two daughters who had "come out as Queer" was priceless!
