Welsh GC protesters in St David's Cathedral protest

This happened on Saturday — 10+ women interrupted a talk by First Minister Mark Drakeford in St David's Cathedral and held up banners saying'No males in women's sport' and 'Woman is not a Feeling' and similar. They stayed there silently, with duct tape over their mouths, until the end of his speech at which point this woman,

followed by another, ran down the cathedral aisle yelling 'Fucking women' in Welsh and grabbed banners out of the protesters' hands and fist-pumped in the direction of the video camera recording proceedings — which she'd knocked over and broken in her sprint down the aisle.

You couldn’t make it up.

“Sara's ongoing research through film explores what it means to listen and give voice to people and place, and negotiates the creative and political challenges of representation.

So she swore in church! In St David's cathedral!

That was a very dignified and effective protest. Everyone in that cathedral was able to read the banners and see for themselves which side of this argument was polite and rational and which was unhinged.

I couldn't hear what the woman tearing the banners said but she came across really badly. I wonder if she felt emboldened by the attack on KJK in New Zealand. She is definitely not getting a sympathetic response on twitter...

Apparently it was in Welsh and I'm not a Welsh speaker but I was told by two people who are first-language Welsh speakers that she yelled 'Fucking women' and other obscenities. It was a spectacularly inappropriate display of performative anger, complete with a raised fist for the camera. In a cathedral, of all places. The GC protesters were silent, non-threatening and calm. The TRA was something else. At least Mark Drakeford has seen for himself how his beloved TRAs behave when faced with dignified women. You couldn't make it up.

How embarrassing for her, a senior lecturer. Thankfully she's getting slated on twitter - https://twitter.com/saraPjones/status/1640101680380256258

Her tweet seems to “express implicitly” that she sees campaigning against males in women’s prisons as a form of violence against male offenders.

She’s entitled to her opinions I suppose. But it’s stretching the meaning of “violence”.

And what is Sara's interest in the subject? Handmaiden or has Sara got flesh in the game? I can't work it out
