Interesting stuff at the end of the article where another drag queen denies that there was a drag queen at the school. Ok then. Must have been some mass hallucination by the children of the magic unicorn drag queen telling them there were 78 genders.

Never happened! Just like all the grooming never ever happens.

No, I need to comment.

"FLOJOB" was introduced to the kids as 'Flo". Oh ok that's fine then.

Any objections are homophobic.

WhiteFire · 13/03/2023 12:58

That's the bit that jumped right out at me.

I'm not sure that having DQ's in schools will increase acceptance of the alphabet soup. Though it is more about pushing the Queer theory then LGB.

TalliskerMcSpeculate · 13/03/2023 13:05

Shudder 😡

Musomama1 · 13/03/2023 13:32

Oh for God's sake.

Grow up and learn responsibility.

Passing off an adult entertainer as appropriate for children is never going to go down well, whatever their sexuality. We live in super liberal UK, but we're not Muppets.

Crying bigot is getting very wearing.

God, what a load of old poppycock, Mr. Canham.

Rightsraptor · 13/03/2023 13:53

Poppy Cock is a very good DQ name, @SinnerBoy .

This episode of The News Agents (podcast with Emily Maitlis, Jon Sopel, Lewis Goodall) discusses drag queen story hour from 09.30 minutes in.

overcast.fm/+9hL4nN75k/09:33

They interview a drag queen who thinks parental objection is bigotry (he mentions ‘crotchety old grandparents’ preventing children from wearing whatever they want) and he says he comes from a radical left perspective so he thinks that children need to know all about sex, that it shouldn’t be hidden from them. He also thinks telling children all about sex prevents child abuse (I think, he wasn’t very clear on that point). He thinks drag queen story hours are continuing the fight begun at Stonewall to achieve queer acceptance in a bigoted society.

The podcast also interviews Helen Lewis to give a counter perspective (she’s not GC but she does attempt to explain feminist perspectives on drag). Helen Lewis seems to be considered the acceptable person to get on podcasts to discuss feminist objections to queer theory - I think it’s because she can sum up GC views in a relatively objective way but she still says TWAW.

So now we're going to hear 'it's fake' applied to people's actual experiences?

😂

How is this whole 'selective reality' thing working out for society?

I think it depends where you live. ‘Selective reality’ is working great for Putin. Less so for Ukraine 🤔 Bit hard to say ‘there is no war’ when a bomb just wiped out your city.

I guess selective reality works great for drag queens. Less so for the children traumatised by being non-consenting characters in an exhibitionist’s fantasy.
