I'm not sure how many on here knew Mary, I only knew her from here when I started a thread a few years ago to say how disheartened I was with the state of women's rights and she sent me a private message and offered a cup of tea. She also sent me a load of stickers! :) We exchanged messages for a while and then I didn't hear from her again but I've often thought about her and been grateful to her.
I am not sure if many others on here knew of her passing but I wanted to mark it somehow. From what little I knew of her I knew she was formidable.

I think Elaine Miller tweeted about this loss. Thank you for the link to the article. She sounds like she was a brave and principled woman.

I remember her doing what she did but didn't know she'd died. I am very sorry to hear of it. 💐

Some may recall Mrs Wooster who used to post here. It seems she also passed away recently. 💐

Mary was a warrior woman, a fighter with her words, ribbons, stickers and crochet. She was fighting for women rights up to the end. I was so lucky to have known her and she is missed. 💚🤍💜💪 🐾
We must carry on the fight that Mary was a huge part of because that what she wanted and it’s the right thing to do.

Mary had a wonderful, moving, funny memorial on Thursday where we who were lucky enough to know her celebrated her life. We cried & laughed, had wonderful bagels & cake, just Mary requested. It’s was very moving and her friends did her proud. Be More Mary 💚🤍💜

great to hear Mary being celebrated by her friends. I did one of her Artist Way courses years ago - she was so lovely, encouraging and inspiring.
