Not sure what the issue at Lighthouse books in Edinburgh is but it's clearly got an issue with concerned parents discussing issues that affect their children - I wonder why.

I see that they have reached their target on the gardening page. Great news!

Interesting thought that it was nowhere to be found on a google search but was pretty near the top searching on DuckDuckGo.

But the Go Fund Me was targeted by Lighthouse books and other groups on Facebook and they've stopped access to the money.

Shocking but not unexpected. Not that it would ever happen but can you imagine the same attitude if it was a trans group meeting and a gender critical mob coming to harass them?

That's a great article - Edinburgh council should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.

The TRA are staging a "counter protest" egged on by Lighthouse Books and some of their Facebook groups.

Why is it a counter protest?

It's pure bullying.

The council is being urged to cancel the session altogether. The council is facing calls to cancel after Unite the union said it should be scrapped to protect library staff and members of the trans community. Comments are turned off.
