Stumbled across this and wondered whether anyone had any insight:

www.facebook.com/radical.senses/

which leads to this page:
www.subscribepage.com/u5l3o6_copy2

The woman concerned, who identifies as non-binary, is involved with a straight male TRA. She's got short hair, so I guess that's why she's NB. Not sure what to make of the Christ-like references with arms outstretched in the white 'robe' under a waterfall.

A lot of the stuff she talks about on the subscribe page (you don't have to subscribe) is just about non-conformity. We never had to pay a coach to coach us into non-conformity it my day!

Sometimes I think the whole gender ideology thing is just one massive grift tbh.

nepeta · 05/03/2023 17:21

It's a real mystery how we have suddenly returned to pre-second-wave-of-feminism social norms among the young. Where did all that come from? Gender-nonconforming behaviour was really common forty years ago.

Delphinium20 · 05/03/2023 17:32

There have always been priestesses and priests for whatever for the current Zeirgeist. Just one more money-making scheme.

myveryownelectrickitten · 05/03/2023 17:35

@nepeta yeah, for example, I frequently hear students talking about short haircuts for women being very very gender nonconforming; and I honestly wonder whether some kind of mental block just kicks in whenever they look at any woman over 50, the vast majority of whom have short hair.

I genuinely think they completely edit out of their minds the obvious visuals from any media from large parts of the twentieth century, in which women having short hair was the norm rather than the exception. Their grand. Lots of their mums and teachers. Princess Diana? Marilyn Monroe? So gender non-conforming 🙄 They don’t even seem to notice until it’s pointed out — that’s how blinkered it is.

*their grandmothers, that should say.

Yes. How did this change begin? What caused it to happen? Was it online porn and its effects in social media or just social media with its typical exaggerations and simplistic stereotypes? When did the change happen?

I know, from some academic papers I've read, that increases in women's earnings, labour market participation etc. seemed to stop in the mid 1990s in several Western countries and since then there hasn't been much change. Some other upward trends for women also ground to a halt around the same time, so that might be the point when queer theory had replaced women's studies in a sufficient number of universities to make an impact?

The fee structure is interesting. For those sums you seem to get a 1hr workshop each week where Leo will tell you all about how wonderful Leo is then give you a workshop. There are only 4 different workshops but it's a monthly membership so not sure if you repeat the 4 workshops over and over or if you just get 4 then pay ongoing for the ability to chat in their discord group.

I see I made a typo. 'zeirgeist' should have been 'zeitgeist'

Upon further reflection...maybe it was my subconscious nudging my new queer identity to emerge. Please refer to me with zeir/zei pronouns.

And, if you'd like to support my zeirgeist queering, my Venmo is @Delphinium20-priestessofZeir

For you oldsters, queering is so not, oh not at all, like vision questing. Zeir has since evolved. Halo

On the one hand:
"Researching the cultural and social history of gender, I realised the existence of only two genders didn’t make sense to me anymore.
It led me to ask myself some tough questions that didn’t really have definitive answers, like how did I know I was a woman?"

On the other:
"I realised I was bisexual"

How can you be bisexual is there are more than two genders/sexes? Unless they are completely different things and sex is binary and more relevant but I don't think that can be her argument somehow...

FatAgainItsLettuceTime · 05/03/2023 18:03

Did just LOL when I 'clicked on the instagram link to get to know them better' and it said "user not found".

Considering she says

"I love practising and talking about sensuality, but something has been missing since I've been developing my sensuality coaching business.
Once I fully embraced my queerness in the last few months, it all came together. …"

Yeah I bet it did love. Once you'd discovered chopping off your hair and going non binary meant you fell under the letter 🌂 you must have seen the way to enlightenment and less credit card debt really quickly!

Heinzsexual.

Similarly women who don't wear very feminine clothing, or do sports, or don't wear make-up.

When I go around town the number of women I see who do none, or only a few, of those things is much greater than the ones who do all or most.

I wonder if they don't have their noses in their phone so much they physically don't see these people. Or they think they are fake, and the people on the internet are real.
