MN Census Sex Question

I thought the questions in the MN census were nice and clear! Refreshing!

I wish these were the options on other sites.

But intersex is not a third sex. They are either male or female.

And call me militant, but I hate seeing ''gender'' even when differentiated from sex, be legitimised anywhere.

Men and women are not gender identities, whatever they are. They are terms of sex and always have been.

'Intersex' is really problematic. It's not a sex. The main DSD charities have asked for it not to be used as a term. There seems to be a move among some TRAs to appropriate it as 'a gender'.

Go figure.

Yes, there are many people with DSDs who would be horrified to be ‘othered’ like this - they are either male or female, not some other sex.

It is good that they give the option to state that one doesn’t have a gender identity, I wonder how the data they are proposing to gather/hold adheres to GDPR law? Most of it is not essential.
