The statement from the protestor is ludicrous.
"shutting down the event is not an attack on academic freedom, it is an assertion of our right to feel safe on campus”. One of the protesters, Dylan Hamilton, has said: “Some films need not to be shown because they’re going to give people specific ideas that are dangerous"
So Dylan is now the arbiter of what "ideas" people can be given at Ed Uni? And shutting down a discussion is not an attack on academic freedom - really? If this person is a student, the money being spent on their education is being wasted. Ed Uni managers need to step up to the plate and stop Dylan and friends ruling the roost.
