The statement from the protestor is ludicrous.

"shutting down the event is not an attack on academic freedom, it is an assertion of our right to feel safe on campus”. One of the protesters, Dylan Hamilton, has said: “Some films need not to be shown because they’re going to give people specific ideas that are dangerous"

So Dylan is now the arbiter of what "ideas" people can be given at Ed Uni? And shutting down a discussion is not an attack on academic freedom - really? If this person is a student, the money being spent on their education is being wasted. Ed Uni managers need to step up to the plate and stop Dylan and friends ruling the roost.

Are university places of learning from different sources, or so they just want the political correct version of learning ?

Where are the parents of all these tra's and trouble makers btw? Why don't they seem very keen on stepping forward to claim their offspring?

Unless the university back up the right to show this film with actual consequences for any students or staff who attend only to disrupt, it will continue to be impossible to show the film. Having succeeded in silencing women before, they undoubtedly will feel justified in doing so again.
