Had my 12 week scan today and this is my scan pic!
Anyone want to guess for fun what they think sex of baby is?

I'm swaying towards a girl! But I'm always wrong 😂

well your baby is either a boy or a girl so you have a 50% chance of being right😃
the great thing is that whether a boy or girl they can do/like/dress in whatever way they please

I dont think this is quite the right forum, but congrats on your pregnancy. I have no idea of the sex of your baby, sorry!

I’m guessing your baby already has a sex, and will never actually have a gender. I did have some help from GCSE biology for that ;-)

I'm better at guessing the sex on how the woman looks in later pregnancy tbh.

Don't be silly, sex is a social construct and anyway it's assigned at birth.

it's neither a boy or a girl yet and a doctor will assign it to one or the other at birth.

if they pick wrong you can always change it later.

"Assigned" nope. It means whether you have a male or female body and is determined by nature not a medical professional.

I’m guessing it’s a girl but for pities sake don’t ask the MP for Brent (she thinks babies are born without a sex and presumably you have to ask them what they identify as before you send out your ‘New Baby’ announcements 👶)

You might want to ask MNHQ to move your thread to pregnancy as we’re the awkward, terfy Mumsnetters on the feminist naughty step, but you are more than welcome to hang out here if you like - just be aware you are going to get a lot of jokes about sex of baby being assigned by the midwife so you’ll have to wait and see on the day (and bribe her if you have a preference).

I remember hearing about a character well-known in the East End in the 30s who called himself “Prince Monolulu”.

He claimed to be able to predict the sex of babies.

What he actually did was give you a sealed envelope - not to be opened until the birth.

Inside was a blue or pink envelope. Inside the blue envelope was a slip saying “girl” & inside the pink one was a slip saying “boy”.

On the off chance anyone complained (and I think very few ever did) he could claim it was a filing error.
