By a US filmmaker, “Affirmation Generation” is a clear, factual, and devastating discussion of harms created by affirmation-only health care, such as we have here in the US.

Participation by six or seven young detransitioners, familiar US professionals critical of medical-affirmation-only treatment (scientist Lisa Littman, endocrinologist William Malone, journalist Jennifer Bilek—who wrote the piece exposing the super rich white men behind push for trans rights), and other excellent medical professionals.

I would also highly recommend it.

I watched this last night. It's long but worth the time.

It shows exactly why you need proper robust systems in place before allowing people to take medication and have surgery on perfectly healthy bodies.

So many young lives permanently ruined.

(And as someone who is prescribed oxy, the bit about the parallels to how oxycontin was pushed on patients was interesting).
