Does anyone get Met Daan videos popping up on their Facebook feed? I get them the whole time. They are short videos very similar to the 5 minute hack videos that everyone used to get. Ie jolly clips of someone making a cheap picture frame with a glue gun (useful) together with someone skinning a fish and sticking them in their shoes (weird, not useful and possibly harmful).
5 minute hacks seems to have been replaced with Met Daan videos. Very similar wholesome looking people suggesting DIY ‘hacks’ except that a large proportion are not just useless but actually dangerous. One example is a repeated video about making an ‘artistic’ cast of someone’s face. Except that it involves covering a woman’s face including her mouth and nostril’s with plaster. It’s dangerous. And sinister.
I have reported to Facebook. But there is no facility to report exactly what the issue is, just a drop down menu with none of the options being ‘dangerous’ all of them are things like ‘offensive’ or ‘terrorism’ so I have received a reply that my complaint is not upheld but that I can appeal. Surprise! The appeal link is permanently frozen.
Has anyone seen the video I mean and/or reported any other video on FB which is promoting something dangerous? If so, did you manage to get a reply or was it deliberately sabotaged as in my case.,what to do?
