Scottish Greens suspend trans activist Beth Douglas after allegations of violent tweets

The Scottish Green Party has suspended Beth Douglas from the role of Rainbow Greens co-convener, after a series of "violent" tweets.

Douglas has been accused of using derogatory language on social media, supporting controversial protests against women, inflaming debate by calling feminists 'fascists' and posing with weapons for Twitter pictures that threaten "cis" people.

When a woman whose name I forgot was giving a speech in the Scottish Parliament about the GRR some months ago, Beth was visible in the background of the video, together with another trans woman.

I should find that video as their reactions to the speech are interesting.

I do scan through but dont always register it is the same topic. Although this one is quite obvious.

don’t think you need waste time apologising for duplicates, they usually sort themselves out with one becoming dominant or the second one being noticed by different people.

It would be good if we had a way to keep the place tidy tho.

And yes it would be nice, not just to be tidy, but you can end up following one thread which can be time consuming, and then find there was more information on the other.

You would think with the site revamp they would have something a bit more sophisticated than this forum format or could at least warn you you are posting a duplicate web link or something.
