DD18 just showed me this and said her and all the year 13 girls are sharing it and agreeing with Nana. She is very clear and it's hard to argue with any of the points she makes.

Thanks for sharing, there is hope. I think lots of people didn’t realise they mostly kept their penises…….

'Being Inclusive does not mean everyone in the same space - to me, it means there is a space for everyone, and that is how it should be'

PaleBlueMoonlight · 09/02/2023 20:19

This is great.

Gymrabbit · 09/02/2023 20:26

Thats a brilliant quote.
and old fashioned transexuals would totally agree with that, which is why they were fighting for their own spaces.

Yes I thought this was excellent
I'm delighted lots of 16-18yo girls are now aware

Went to twitter to see if this was posted over there, it was, just over a week ago.

Looks like it made someone very cross…

They definitely don't, which surprises me. More people are talking about this now; pretty much every time I go out this subject comes up. I have been trying to talk about it for years in my friendship group but it has nearly always been shut down - suddenly I am not being shut down and people are asking for more information and are mostly amazed when they understand that most trans women do, in fact, keep their penis.

fabricstash · 10/02/2023 07:18

I showed this video to my other half and he thought it was all sensible. I am quite vocal in real life and have been for sometime. I have teens so know people being caught in this gender identity vortex. I try not to be overly vocal but nearly everyone I know has caught up now and now starts the conversation first

RudsyFarmer · 10/02/2023 07:50

i wish people would stop conflating racism with this issue. Single sex spaces are not the same as apartheid 🤦🏻‍♀️

It's deliberate.

They paint themselves as modern-day Rosa Parks. It's supposed to help sway the waverers, and convince progressive politicians that they can help fight for this new frontier of equality.

Except its all bobbins.

SinnerBoy · 10/02/2023 08:10

How do you know what's in someone's pants, India?

Well, by the way their penis protrudes through their pink leggings is a bit of a hint to the other 8 billion people on the planet.

WhatWouldHopperDo · 10/02/2023 08:18

I notice this a lot now on Tik Tok. Especially since a couple of well followed trans women started blathering on about buying tampons and having period symptoms.

Especially heartening to see a fair few trans women saying they do
not support erasing the experiences of women and that they know they are not the same as biological women.

inkjet · 10/02/2023 08:35

The racism accusation is annoying because it’s tw on their side that say things along the lines of if a black woman is a woman then so am I. And only our side call out the racism, I’ve never seen it mentioned by any TWAW types.

Boiledbeetle · 10/02/2023 09:05

Good video by Nana.

Predictable racist comments from IW.

ShireWifeofNigelFarage · 10/02/2023 09:07

Absolutely loads of black women speaking out on how offensive it is to be used as a comparator for (almost overwhelmingly white, middle class) males.

Nana is a perfect example but the website Lipstick Alley (billed as ‘The internet’s largest African American forum’) is full non celeb women doing exactly the same.

RudsyFarmer · 10/02/2023 09:14

We have the ability to detect sex through a variety of markers. We don’t need to see what’s in someone’s pants.

Even those children who have taken puberty blockers. I expect there will still be something not quite tangibly female about the way they present. I could be wrong but I suspect it’s a little like plastic surgery. We know when a face isn’t quite moving right. It’s ‘off’. We can tell so many things about health from the way people walk. We are making judgements about everything all the time. It’s a primal function that I assume goes along with mating m, eating abd not being killed.

Exactly it is a poor argument. We should be more up front and state clearly sex segregation now, bring back sex segregation. They will make themselves look even more foolish comparing it to other protected characteristics. Don't let them scare us into not using the right language.

nilsmousehammer · 10/02/2023 10:16

I have to say, the several TS MNetters (threads are here) have not all been interested in their own spaces, I think that was a campaign Miranda Yardley set up some years ago, mostly to demonstrate that it was not wanted since it's been not at all popular. The argument here was usually that they wanted to draw the line for women and felt entitled to do this by retaining male superiority and privilege (I remember one explaining kindly and paternally that having heard all the comments from the women here they had reached their conclusion and here was their considered decision for women). And oddly enough that line always included them, but excluded other men.

It was, as Datun so wisely said at the time, a group of men bickering amongst themselves about where exactly to place their boot on women's necks.

Helleofabore · 10/02/2023 10:21

This is another wonderfully clear woman.

Thank you Nana!

NyanBinaryJohn · 10/02/2023 10:32

She is wonderfully clear in many ways, but she says sorry way too often. She has nothing to apologise for.

Stop apologising for asserting your own boundaries.

Agreed. There is no logical, civil rights based, safeguarding conscious, morally sound argument for men, who wish to behave and dress as a particular gender stereotype, to then occupy spaces reserved for biological females. There just isn't a single, good argument for why women need to accommodate this, and why men shouldn't expand their bandwidths and accommodate members of their own sex, no matter how they wish to behave and dress. On their own, the TRA arguments do not stand up - which is why they need to bandwagon the genuine suffering of other groups, in order to gain traction via guilt tripping and ignorance.
