Rosie Kay: new dance company

Hello, I found Rosie Kay's new dance company online and thought that people on this forum might like to know.

She is currently holding auditions for new dancers and interestingly asking all of them to take note of a Creative Charter, which specifically references free speech. It seems that new performances of 5 soldiers might be coming up.
Best of luck to Rosie and her new dancers.

That interview on Triggernometry immediately became one of my favourites from all they've done. It is terrific.

I came away from her Triggernometry interview thinking I’d love be invited round to hers for dinner. I would not throw the privelege back in her face like her dancers. The conversation about 5 Soldiers was excellent. Rosie - if you happen to read this, please take it on tour. 🙏

What happened to the dancers from her previous company? Are they all kicking their heels wishing they’d STFU?

Oh, I so hope so.

I just listened to the new Triggernomatry podcast with her and she's fantastic.

I really hope Five Soldiers tours, I can only find it in Bath and Blackpool so I'm really hoping it comes to Birmingham, particularly as she lives here, or used to at least.

Norwich as well as Bath and Blackpool. No Brum yet...

I hope so. I hope she doesn’t accept any of those who attacked her if they have the cheek to apply for a job.

Great interview , good to hear she is back into action, her work is extraordinary and needs to be seen.

(still find it hard to reconcile the ignorance and blind acceptance of her former dancers, the fact that it was dancers spouting such rubbish is beyond belief, dancers are so intimately aware of every nuance not only of their own bodies but of other dancers bodies and their strengths, weaknesses, capabilities and limits , that they really can’t believe that male and female bodies are interchangeable.)

Rosie Kay is in conversation with Scottish Union for Education founder Stuart Waiton this Thursday night in case anyone interested. I think it's a really important conversations around freedom of speech, and the arts, education and women's rights. Performing artists have been extraordinarily complicit in all the compelled shenanigans in the industry. It is a sad reflection of the health of the arts sector there are so few speaking out, or even recognising the problem.
