Damn I can't get the link to work.

I really don't get it.
I thought Maya won her case in the tribunal court of appeal that she was discriminated against on the basis of holding GC beliefs, so that should be there, in black and white.
Her employers can't just bare faced deny it!

There's more information on the fundraiser, but I believe it's because her employers are refusing to pay compensation to an amount that Maya thinks appropriate.

I've done some digging. Maya is high on the list of people I will always dig for.

Motorina me too.
She’s the main reason we have any rights at the moment!

Yes, that's what's said in here, so why exactly donating money again if she won?
What's the reason this time as it's not clear?

She clearly explains why in her fundraiser update.

She won the ruling but the tribunal did not set compensation at that time (which I think is standard?). Maya has been negotiating with her ex-employer, the Centre for Global Development, but has not been offered an amount she thinks suitable (the higher the amount she gets, the more concerned other employers will be about making the same “mistake”).

If the two sides cannot come to an agreement Maya can ask the tribunal to make a ruling, to do that she will want good legal representation again. Hence she’s asking for more money.

Why? Did you donate to her last time? If so, why? Because it seems in Maya’s case, you would have been fully in support of her employers?

Ok i get it now.
They haven't denied discriminating against her per se, but they won't offer her enough compensation, so she's going back to court to get it.

Fair enough. I'd support that because it's a win for all GC women if we can kick the boot in.

The award won't be super high. Employment Tribunals awards generally aren't. Maya's detractors will point to the final value and ask what the fuss was all about.

However, they will ignore that she legitimised gender critical view points. I honestly think her case was a turning point and also made sensible employers wake up and take notice.

Too right, I'll dig! Maya has my eternal gratitude for all she's done for women.

What Maya is up to is fighting on every point and not giving up and rolling over, however tempting that may be. She will be doing this to make they whole thing as painful as possible to CGD in order for them to have a long think whenever they might be inclined to do similar in the future and for other employers tempted to do similar to also wonder if instead it might be better simply to behave lawfully.
