"What is relevant is that the individual is a rapist. That is how the individual should be described and it is that which should be the main consideration in deciding how the individual is dealt with.*
Makes perfect sense. "The individual" is sent to a "rapist prison" then, right?
"The individual" has been stripped of all pronouns, only to be referred to as "a rapist" or "the individual". Seems, oh, I don't know, rather dehumanising to me. And you know, like that thing people get accused of being called transphobic for doing, avoiding using the right pronouns.
*That is why, of course, the individual is in a male prison, not in the female prison. So these are the issues that matter.”
Why on earth is "the individual" in a male prison, if "the individual" hasn't been defined as male? Surely that's against some kind of human rights.
Ross and Sturgeon are apparently agreed on something though. They both believe there are True Trans. In Sturgeon's case, I'd like her to be pushed in how we can be expected to know whose faking their trans self-identity, in order to prevent them getting access to women. I'd also like her questioned about whether it's transphobic to make such an assumption. This "individual" had apparently started taking hormones. If that's true, at which point is someone actually in the medical pathway not a real trans person.
I sense a petard getting closer to Sturgeon by the minute.
