I am posting this because I am so done with dehumanising language.
It's actually making me so sad, angry and disheartened.

Why are we menstruators Guardian? Why? I HATE YOU NOW.

As long as a device obscures the fact that a woman has her period, she may feel grateful for the coverage, not skeptical or curious about how it works.
Boak.
Durrrr-hey, I'm a woman, curiosity does not become me, I don't know how to use a screwdriver, things just work around me, I just press a button and like magic the TV makes pictures and noises in my actual house!! I get my monthlies and that's how I know I'm not with child and disappointing my husband who of course wants me to produce sons.

Never mind the bloody labelling should just do what it says.

Pass as non-menstruators
Seriously WTF is that? I just don't want to walk around with bloodstains on my Levi's to be honest.

From the article:

When over 1.8 billion people around the world menstruate each month, why is it so hard for them to find quality period products?

My question:

And why is it so hard to think of a name for those 1.8 billion people around the world who menstruate each month?

Someone stated that the most misogynistic move of all that a patriarchy could create would be to erase our ability to even mention the female sex as a sex class which shares political interests. Now that is being done by lefty women.

Though today’s menstruators are too young to have experienced the panic over toxic shock syndrome ....

Aye whatever.

Well there's certainly an awful lot of shocking toxicity being exercised, that's for sure!

'Desperation to pass as non-menstruating'

I am trying, through a haze of fury, to acknowledge this perspective. It is fucked up that women do still feel shame about menstruating. You could describe it like this. But imposing the vocab of the tiny minority experience of
transition and attempting to suppress your entire sex presentation onto the desire for privacy of well over 99% of all women,.and ONLY women, makes me want to scream.

People and children - not women and girls then 🙄

Also, I think Chris Bobel might be a little out of touch. All the teenage girls I know are very open about their periods with friends & class mates of both sexes - which I think is an entirely good thing
