Well, here’s an anonymous comment from Wings over Scotland. (I wouldn’t necessarily believe all of this, even though I would like it to be true):

“So reports from Stasi HQ say that Sturgeon is in a complete mess over this. She is being extremely short tempered with staff and in cabinet meetings. She is determined to push this through but even Robison, who is now totally drained, is reluctant to take the s35 to court.

There is going to be a reshuffle in May with Robison likely to ‘stand down’ as a cab sec and replaced by either Todd or Gilruth. Humza is being moved out of health in a swap with Angus Robertson. It finished Humza’s ambitions and ‘Air miles’ Angus will have to do some work for a change to keep his own intact.

Sturgeon is obsessed with Ash Regan and the spads and comms teams will be doubling down on briefing against her in the next few weeks. She is now being viewed as a serious challenger with huge support from grass root members now that most have shifted from Forbes due to her recent inaction on the GRR. Forbes is meant to be on mat leave, but she has been on maneuvers recently with a few reports of her still being involved in decisions and briefings. She could have issued a statement or resigned however she made a pact with Sturgeon that she would not intervene as long as the GRR had gone through. However she has delayed her return due to the continued running sore that the GRR has presented and it is unlikely she will return until the worst of this is over.

There is a complete bunker mentality at Bute House and those who have hitched their own careers to Sturgeon, are in a panic. CVs are being updated, allegiances are shifting and the mood is said to be ‘dire beyond belief’.

Interesting who knows the truth but from other comments I have heard the SNP has had a huge loss of members in the last month or so. It is already down heavily from its high point 7 or 8 years ago. Apparently there are big cash flow problems after the missing donations scandal too.

So an internal crisis over this spectacular failure is on the cards. I mean it is own goal after own goal. Even if you don't care about women deliberately creating legislation which is going to crash and burn is going to alienate anyone sensible in the party.

Their choices are bad either way. Go to court against Westminster which will cost a lot, keep this story in the news and eventually fail. Losing court cases against Westminister is not impressing anyone. Or accept section 35 and redraft legislation which admits the critics were right all along.

No way out situation. Great news for the fight against this nonsense.

It would be amazing if Ash could take over, but does she have the support? After all so many sensible members must have left. Even if she stands and fails it would be great burst of sunlight though.

So far he's no better. Can they not see how ridiculous they look at this point? A TW is a W unless they're violent to W then they're not a W, but they're only not a W for the purposes of prisons and they're still a W just not a W that can be with W, but they might not be a W, they might be a pretend W, but the day before they were convicted when they were running around in woman only spaces they were totally a W.

Jesus Christ, this should have been dealt with years ago. How long have women raised this and been called transphobes, bigots, told that rights aren’t like pie and there’s no clash of rights?

If transwomen aren’t safe in men’s prison and women aren’t safe around transwomen (which in the case of sex offenders they certainly are not) then there needed to be some fucking thought put into a solution instead of parroting TWAW and ignoring evidence that shows how wrong this can go.

They have had years to find a solution. I sincerely hope those who threw out slurs, refused to listen to evidence and shat on women for cheap political points are called to answer for what they’ve created.
