Just that really. Kate, from Keep Prisons Single Sex, was just on the segment that finished at 8.20 talking about men in women's prisons. She was extraordinarily good, so clear & concise. You could hear a pin drop. Brava, Kate.

I thought the sharpest point she made, and the most worrying, is how quiet the TRA usual suspects have been lately.

As Kate said, it’s because they know this (the review by the SPS, the recent weasel words from MSPs) isn’t real. They know their allies are still in play and that this is just a temporary setback for their agenda.

If it WAS likely to lead away from the current madness then they’d be screaming from the —rooftops— the Guardian.

Yes, I have challenged some people on Twitter re this. If they are 'allies' and if these TW are women, why are they ok with segregation? What are they ok with Graham being moved to a male prison? Why are they not protesting and complaining about this?

I also think Kate's point that she made at the very very end should be written on posters and displayed for any news article or discussion about this.

The people we are talking about when we discuss TW in the female estate are accurately represented by Adam Graham and Andrew Burns. These 2 are completely representative of the type of prisoner/offences we are discussing. The hypothetical long transitioned, willowy, non violent criminal is not at all. So when holding these discussion the picture in our heads should be those we have seen over recent days - Adam Graham, Andrew Burns, 'Katie Dolatowski", Ari's Green, Sophie Eastwood etc. They are not exceptions, they are the norm.

We can't say this enough.

Fantastic interview - clear, calm and compelling.

I agree with others that the campaign might be better renamed to Single Sex Prisons Now or something.

Such a clear interview, would love to see Kate on the mainstream discussion programmes (perhaps instead of Debbie Hayton or Peter Tatchell?)
