Rainbow Flag Award

Does anyone know anything about the Rainbow Flag Award? My kids school is starting this and I'm not liking what I see, but the head is being very evasive. My kids are primary age and I really don't want them being sucked down the unquestioning path of the likes of stonewall, all in the name of inclusivity

They're grifters. Primary schools don't need to focus on this - so many other challenges for children to face and deal with - race, sex, special needs and disability to name just a few?.
Try asking the school what learning and pastoral data is informing them that this expensive LGBT plus initiative is a priority for the school? It's not just the cost of signing up (£795 for a primary school), it's all the endless hours of staff time, training sessions, resources that are needed at a time when budgets are stretched.
Do they have all the support that children with SEN require? Are they complaining about being financially stretched? What evidence do they have that this group is a priority for so many resources?

Thanks, these are really helpful links. That one to transgender trend confirms all my worst fears.

MrsOverton, I could not agree more. The worst thing is, I don't think they give a shiny s**t about it, they just think it will make them look good. They didn't even bother looking at the resources they linked to in the weekly school newsletter when announcing it. Mermaids. Ummm, safeguarding? 2 companies selling breast binders? How is this appropriate for a primary school?!
