Just wanted to express my gratitude after seeing her on the BBC News. I've heard her speak at a couple of meetings/rallies and it's so gratifying to hear her being interviewed on the UK news.

It's felt like an uphill struggle to make people care about women in prison. It's not a 'Lorraine' friendly issue like surrogacy and transition. Why it should take something as extreme as this to get people's attention is frustrating. But it's getting out there now.

So many people shot down as bigots, ignored and decried. I know this is a 'hot' topic because it touches on Holyrood Vs Westminster, SNP Vs Tories, Independence Vs the Union but we must do all we can to keep this issue in the news and make all those 'live and let live' people sit up and see the real issues at stake here.

Seconded. She's brilliant. And someone on another thread posted this which has always made me chuckle because it is so glorious.

Really great to see that Rhona is finally being asked to share her expertise by the BBC. Pretty disgraceful that this is the first time, AFAIK. That Twitter exchange is fantastic - what’s the betting that the TRA was more confident in talking down like that to someone with a female name because he just assumed that only men would have the sort of expertise and qualifications Rhona does.

I just saw her on BBC1 News at 10, then switched over to ITV and she was speaking in there too! She’s done a fabulous job today.
