Woman’s Hour 2023 Power List : Women in Sport

I have nominated Sharron Davis. without women like her campaigning to keep womens sport for natal women then a Women in Sport Power List is pointless.

Details are on the Woman’s Hour website. Nominations are accepted until February 8th. There is a space to explain the reasons for your nominations. And to have a little dig at Kelly Holmes though that might be just me.

Maybe that's why they put her on to lay the records straight prior to world athletics last week - because she'd had so many votes on the list.... !

Ah okay, I think I misunderstood the process so was instantly sniffing a stitch up! (I'm jumpy this week.)

Absolutely don't want to detract from a the very worthy women on the list. 💪

Women's hour did say they were going to be more on women's sport a while ago - hopefully this type of celebration of women in sport, plus the intelligence of women like Sharron being regular speakers, will lay down a clearer stance within 'bbc balance.'

The process is a good idea - you could end up with Emily bridges on there if it was just public vote.
