There's a survey in Site Stuff where we have the opportunity to talk about FWR board.

Want to win a £50 Amazon voucher? Take our survey for a chance to win!

Done. Thanks.

Thanks!

Done!

Thanks for the link, but really what a really badly design survey.

It limits you to options that just dont apply.

A complete waste of time.

How will they get anything meaningful out of that.

I suppose it will be like their design update.

They will only aspire to do the minimum required.

Boiledbeetle · 26/01/2023 01:36

The very last question any other comments may have included the word Autogynephilia 😁

Boiledbeetle · 26/01/2023 01:37

Honestly I think they are just fishing for suitable candidates for the zoom call survey from the questions.

JarByTheDoor · 26/01/2023 06:58

Is that genuine? Smells a bit odd.

Unless someone has kidnapped the mumsnet staff member who posted the original post with the survey link, it's genuine but I think they weren't interested in it as a survey as such. I think they were looking for the people they want to talk to on zoom.

JellySaurus · 26/01/2023 08:12

Whether or not you want to be interviewed, it is an opportunity to put forward your views on accurate information, freedom of speech, coerced speech, respect for plurality of belief/non-belief, the importance of the articulate and evidenced discussion found here etc.

I mean I should have used it to say all those things...do you think just the word autogynaphilia covers a lot of those points?

I may have to go do it again but this time do a more long thought out any other comments bit 😶

Thanks — didn't recognise the username, and because it was an OP the post background was in OP colours rather than mod colours, IYSWIM, so I wasn't sure.

It's a great opportunity to prove how valuable FWR is to us (and to MN).

TheWitchesAreBackInTown · 26/01/2023 09:17

Done ✅

HiccupHorrendousHaddock · 26/01/2023 09:26

Glad for a chance to tell them how crucial FWR boards are.

JellySaurus · 26/01/2023 13:04

You say what you feel is important to say. I'm glad you mentioned autogynephilia because I'm so used to contorting around the 'guidelines' that I did not.

I was thinking about it after I posted does it cover those points?

So no, it was one word after all, but then let's see...could I have used autogynaphilia to make a point whilst talking about each of those points?

it is an opportunity to put forward your views on:

accurate information: yep
freedom of speech: yep
coerced speech: yep

respect for plurality of belief/non-belief: yep
the importance of the articulate and evidenced discussion found here etc: yep

So I'm not saying people could use it to discuss each of your points when they complete the survey, but they could, if they wanted to.😁

😁no. I was just using it as excuse to bump the thread😁

IwantToRetire · 26/01/2023 16:06

I did use my answers to stress the importance of finding an online community that allowed discussion of women's rights.

But in terms of survey designs it is always bad if there are questions where the options say more about the person designing it, so answer never reflect those responding as they have to fit into the limiting ideas of the designer, rather than being able to reflect their own.

Not sure how but years ago I signed up to do You Gov surveys which are getting worse and worse. They seem to assume everyone drives a car, and has unlimted access to the internet, and so on.

So am always wary when You Gov survey results are posted.
