Amplifying the voices of women and girls who were abused by police instead of protected.

Each and every one of us deserves to be heard.

So, let’s show every police force that it isn’t just ‘one bad apple’, but their culture.
We need structural and systemic changes to address the institutionalised misogyny and the closing of ranks.

We need it to change.

Now.

This is good news at a terrible time for victims.

Perhaps people will finally begin to understand why so many women don't go to the police.

I read an article yesterday that said that many police officers believe rape myths too.

And there's 800 met police currently under investigation for sexual and domestic abuse now.

And paedophile police in the news today.

The whole institution is rotten and dangerous.

Its not just the Met Police! Really important that we dont think oh its just that lot.

Newspaper story this week of 7 police officers in Wales dismissed for similar reasons.

So if anyone does share this, perhaps add a note, this is about all police.

Lets face, the Army, Navy etc., probably need a similar web site, but the Police are the ones who have most direct interaction with the public.

I agree. It's not just the met. It's everywhere. For example we know that West Yorkshire police are notoriously bad too. It's much more of a systematic issue, relating to how the police function in our society.

Defenders always try to say "it's a few bad apples" but fail to remember the rest of that saying..."one bad apple spoils the barrel".
