" We'd deliver new working rights for women, including rights against maternity discrimination and flexible working.
We'd take immediate action against the epidemic of violence against women and girls. "

Really? You won't even stand up against the bullying of Rosie Winterton in the HOC Annaliese but you expect us to believe that you're going to protect the rest of us?! You must think our heads are filled with kapok and button up at the back!

" Finally, we'd support all women in their ambitions, with a landmark new Race Equality Act and action to combat hate crimes against disabled women and LGBT+ women. "

You can't even tell us what a woman is, or at least your version of women seems to include men, so again, if you think we believe you, you need to think again! Under no circumstances whatsoever will I be voting Labour at the next election, unless there's a very dramatic and sudden sea change of attitudes in the L.P.
No chance whatsoever!

We'd take immediate action against the epidemic of violence against women and girls.
Why haven't you already?! What have your councillors have done for the girls in Rotherham?! What utter rot. Labour MPs are more likely to be seen bullying women like we've seen in the HoC this week. I'm now so angry at Labour I will never vote for them again.

action to combat hate crimes against disabled women and LGBT+ women.

Ooh.

Would that include the right to insist on actually female carers for intimate care and overnight care, or intimate procedures without being harassed and bullied? That kind of hate crime? And the right to be homosexual without harassment and say so without being called a racist bitch who should learn to cope with straight sex or be correctively raped? That kind of hate crime?

No?

Thought not.

Love how straight, able bodied women want to define the experience of other women and then tell them what they think, feel, need and wish to impose this from the top down. And still identify as progressive and insightful and down with the whole social justice thing. FUBAR.

But surely the T in LGBT+ women means men who call themselves women?

So no change on the LP position on actual women at all

@NancyDrawed @Toseland @nilsmousehammer

I agree entirely with everything you've said and every point you've made.
There seems to be a lot of disconnect going on in her little bobble head!
I didn't have much time for her before but I have less than zero now and with the exception of Rosie, the same applies to the rest of them.
Funny how so many of them could be so quick to sign a letter about mean words aimed at meghan markle but absolute silence where Rosie and Miriam are concerned!

'Action against hate crimes against LGBT+ women' probably means criminalising women who object to men pretending to be women entering women only spaces.

EpicChaos · 21/01/2023 18:58

That would seem to be a very fair assumption @DrDinosaur :-/

I fear you may be correct.

Boiledbeetle · 21/01/2023 19:09

Gosh, don't us Labour voting women have a high regard for Labour at the moment? About as high regard as theirs for women!

I know and they'll still expect us to not only vote for them but door knock and post leaflets encouraging other people to do so too!
Well tittle that, for a game of soldiers!

I keep paying my dues just so I can lecture them for an hour on the phone when they ring begging for something.

It's well worth the membership fee for that alone.
