Work in a big secondary school. My department (science) know I'm GC, but I don't really discuss this with other staff.

We have very limited numbers of staff toilets. The womens toilets I use are in a different block, as the closest ones are next to where the students sit and they can hear us.

The toilets in the old, 1910's block, have an ancient plaque on them with "Ladies", plus a small round metal sign saying 'Staff".

This morning, there is an A4, laminated white sign stuck firmly on the door saying "Female Staff Only".

I grinned.

There is someone else here!

Now that sounds like the logical sort of game I'd enjoy 😄

I'm going to laminate another sign, and put it on the women's staff toilets where the students can hear us pee. I won't use those toilets myself, but I like the idea of putting the sign up and spreading the message.

I really think a lot of us are assuming that everyone around us is going to get the vapours if we come out as GC, but I bet most of them are GC and thinking the same thing.

I work for a Local Authority where loads of pressure is put on people to announce/state their pronouns..... Its dangerous to put your head above the parapet.

I was at a meeting last year where a colleague I worked with very occasionally sat next to me and I noticed she had purple, green and white ribbons tied to the handle of her bag. I nodded to it and quietly said "GC?" and she nodded. I said "me too". She later emailed me to tell me about a local monthly WRN group which I joined. There turned out to be a few LA women employees there. Its so good to have GC Allies

Hmm maybe I'll buy a purple stethoscope and mark it somehow with white and green.

I have two "votes for women" suffragette badges on my handbag strap. Only my DH has asked what they are, and he rolled his eyes at my answer.

I work with Scottish government as contractor. Not one person in government does the pronoun stuff

We've discussed it since, and drawn a parallel with early Christians using the fish symbol to identify each other when Christianity was banned.

You're lucky. The LA I work for has loads of people putting their pronouns in their signature. We also have monthly EDI sessions where there's a lot of focus on being a trans Ally.

I did wonder if we have a secret terf as a display on diversity in the summer included a pic of Ellen page from 5 years ago. And zero trans.

I work in Scottish Government so I am very careful what I say and to whom on this, but the section 35 saga brought two colleagues out as GC in one day yesterday, in separate conversations. That's a first.

I made a GC friend at work, recently.

She had made a very reasonable comment on a article about the menopause (I think).

She got the usual pile on (which I told the moderators about, cos - as we all know - if its'that' subject, people can be as passionate' as they like🤨), and I wanted to give her some support and back her up.

I have one of the tiny enamel W-AHF badges on my lanyard.

I think my place of work is actually getting worse for the pronoun bullshit.
