NHS “Sex at birth” on heart age calculator

I just did the NHS heart age calculator -
https://www.nhs.uk/health-assessment-tools/calculate-your-heart-age

and was asked for my sex / sex at birth - and to ask my GP if I had further questions about this.

i think that is an acceptable compromise - everyone knows what sex they are, the birth qualifier isn’t necessary but doesn’t create further confusion, and anyone who doesn’t know what sex to put seeks further advice.

No mention of gender. Clear writing.

I am interested in what others think - is this ok?

I don't care if it means they are making it clear to those who need to know that sex - that which you were born with - matters

Yes it's obvious but so is the fact that your takeaway coffee will be hot and a bag of nuts contains nuts

Puzzled why don't they ask for 'ethnic group' at birth too? Bigger differences in sex than ethnicity.

Yes I'm aware of that, but also stating that we don't know what effect high doses of testosterone have on a female heart and oestrogen on a male heart etc. Dementia may be happening earlier in m2f transsexuals because of the unnatural usage of oestrogen for instance.

I'm not talking about mythical gender identity, but simply stating that a transsexual individual may have different heart health to someone else of their genetic sex and also that of the opposite sex specifically due to consequences of the medical transition.

So yes heart age calculator is based off of genetic sex (no problem with that), but transsexual individuals could have "unique" results due to all of the medication that they take.

I'm adopted, what was my sex at birth, what if it was different from now, how would I know, who should I ask given I have no parents?
