Additionally, the organization commissioned a study last August which showed that 34 per cent of its members are lesbians, 33 per cent are gay men, 12 per cent are bisexual and 20 per cent are heterosexual.

I like how the writer emphasizes that not all LGB people and women are subservient to trans people. That's such a perfect way of describing what they are asking of us! We are not their little slaves. We do not have to advocate on their behalf to prove something and NO it is not in our best interests. That is so patronizing.
