He’s a girl because he likes girls and girls things? Give me a bloody break. I suppose my DD was a boy because she liked Thomas the tank engine when she was little? Fgs when will this madness end?

My guess is this is a mother who cannot handle that her son will grow up to be a gay man. She spotted feminine characteristics in him when he was only a toddler and decided she would rather a trans daughter than a gay son. The crucifix necklace would also point me in that direction.

This case has been going on for years. The father has been valiantly trying to save his child from this fate. He has been stopped by the mother, doctors and judges at every turn. It’s so awful. At least he is continuing to fight for his son.

I think I've read about this family before. Poor boys, it must be so confusing for both of them.

Obviously very concerned about what mum is up to - I am also a little concerned that dad who hails from the same orthodox religious group is himself trying to impose gender conformity. Is this the trans corner of the triangle socking it out with the conservative homophobic corner? Does boy really want the very stereotypical boy clothing dad's giving him OR the very stereotypical girl clothing mum's giving him? Or would he choose something else again if he had a free choice?

Yep, third fiddle, yes to all of that. I also am hugely uncomfortable with the father sharing footage of his children like this.

Awful. That poor boy. This is where American healthcare and being able to do anything if you pay is really wrong.

@thirdfiddle has it right in my opinion. Both parents seem to have very entrenched views surrounding gender, and both seem to agree that wearing dresses is what makes a girl a girl. The dad responds by dressing the boy up in trousers, the mum responds by moving state and transitioning him to be female.

Gender disappointment in mother - wanted a girl. 1950s attitude father. Nowhere in this is it clear what the child wants.

Yep they chose MALE embryos, so no gender disappointment involved. My guess is, as @Fathercrossmas says, munchausen by proxy plays a huge part. Bet she couldn’t believe her luck when she had 2 healthy boys - one to treat as normal and one she can manipulate into thinking he wants to be a girl. Oh look at me, look at me, I’m just so progressive in supporting my Son in wanting to be a girl. Sick fucker.

I'm wondering how much pressure Macho Cock father had on 'choosing' twin boy embryos, though. Mother decides she really wanted the 'perfect' one of each and decides to abuse one of them into believing he is a girl. Disgusting. The children should be removed for their own safety.

This has nothing to do with "American" healthcare. It has everything to do with California "woke" liberal laws. No legitimate doctor would perform this procedure on a child without the consent of both parents and the approval of a child health advocate. California chose to pass laws that bypass the parents and independent medical/psychological evaluations and just go with what the child says he/she wants. California doctors could be arrested for refusing to honor the wishes of the child.

Yes I know about conversion camps. I just don't see how someone who would hate a gay child would prefer a trans one. I'd think adopting the identity opposite sex would be even 'worse' in their eyes

As someone with a 4-year-old boy that sometimes says he wants to be a girl (because he wants to play with girls at school that only want to play with other girls), this is horrifying. I could easily convince him he was a girl though. He'd believe anything I said like most small children. It's abuse.
I agree that the father is probably the other end of the scale though, they both seem very religious so a boy wearing feminine clothes would probably be a no-no. The mum deals with it by saying he's a girl and the dad makes him be macho. It's no good either way.

That's not entirely true.
The Texas high court ruled that the mother couldn't start conversion unless the father gave his permission.
Hence the running off to California as there laws prohibit the mother from being stopped and any criminal charges against the mother for this will be dropped.
